NSW and the ACT both run CPD on a shared financial-year cycle — every licensee in the state has the same start and end date.
"When is my CPD due?" doesn't have one answer in Australia — it depends on which state issued your licence, and in some cases on your own licence anniversary. Here's how each cycle actually works.
Most states use one of these four patterns. Knowing which one applies to you is the first step to working out your actual deadline.
NSW and the ACT both run CPD on a shared financial-year cycle — every licensee in the state has the same start and end date.
WA's new points model runs on its own fixed annual window from April 2026, with a longer one-off transition year covering January 2026 to March 2027.
Queensland's CPD year runs 12 months from the issue-date anniversary of your own licence or registration — genuinely different for every licensee.
Tasmania runs a single annual CPD cycle that every licensed property agent completes by 30 April — the same statewide deadline ahead of renewal.
